Don’t ask, don’t tell — it’s IPL

This story is such fun.

The Gauteng Cricket Board accuses the IPL and its commissioner Lalit Modi of high handed behavior. Knowing how the man operates, that is probably under-stating the case.

The sequel to that is the really fun part: The South African board has come down on Gauteng like a ton of bricks, demanding an apology and refusing to allot games to the Wanderers pending that action.

In other words, do nothing to piss off the IPL: there is money to be made, so what if the commissioner acted like a pocket Hitler and wanted to stick his grubby fingers in every available pie including parking and the pouring rights for alcohol?

Gives ‘give and take’ a whole new dimension, no?
