Kuldeep Varshney, the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha district president (Budaun, UP) has offered a reward of Rs 5 lakh to anyone cutting off Kanhaiya Kumar’s tongue.
According to Varshney, Kanhaiya was targeting everyone after shouting anti-national slogans.
The BJYM, currently led at the national level by BJP leader and BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur, stands for:
The concept of Integral Humanism has a special place in its ideology, with the party aiming to transform India into a modern, progressive and enlightened nation which draws inspiration from India’s ancient Indian culture and values. Being the youth wing of the BJP, BJYM mainly focuses on the issues related to country’s youth. BJYM believes in empowering the youth and giving them a platform where they are engaged and their aspirations and sentiments are reflected in the policies of the BJP.
Update: The BJP has expelled Varshney from the primary membership of the party for a period of six years — which is a welcome development.
Meanwhile, ‘Kill Kanhaiya’ posters have reportedly appeared in central Delhi, offering a reward of Rs 11 lakh to anyone who shoots Kumar. The image below is from the Indian Express story cited here:
